Hosted by Selkirk College and Emily Carr University of Art and Design, this event will bring together a confluence of artists, writers, scholars and engaged citizens to exchange ideas about creativity as a means of engaging with the complexities presented by the Columbia River. Please see the attached program for further information.

This intimate gathering will take place at Selkirk College’s Castlegar campus, a fitting location at the confluence of the Kootenay and Columbia Rivers. As the United States and Canada prepare to renegotiate the Columbia River Treaty, the timing of this contemplative symposium is also rich with significance. Please circulate within your networks!
