Monashee Arts Council: All Things “Lumby Days”

Our Annual Festival of the Arts will once more be jam-packed full of exciting arts events this year!

Our popular raku pottery firing event will be happening on Saturday, June 7th in the afternoon.

A special demonstration, Sheep to Shawl, will take place on Saturday with the Monashee Weavers group.

We will be offering Kid’s Art activities on Sunday, June 8th, as well as hosting the Circus Arts group in our venue that same afternoon.

Our always popular annual Photography Contest will be shown both Saturday and Sunday (prizes supplied by Vernon London Drugs Photography Department).

We will be hosting TWO art shows this year! (both Saturday & Sunday)

We are very excited to be hosting a Juried Themed Art Show this year!  The Medieval theme of this year’s festival got us thinking about the current interest in people discovering more about their ancestors.  Our show “What Did Your Ancestors Do?” will no doubt be very engaging.  Any medium of art is welcome and artists are allowed to submit up to three pieces of work to this show.

Our annual Critiqued Art Show invites artists of any medium to submit up to 3 pieces of work and there will be a monetary prize awarded for Best in Theme.

Information and application forms for both art shows and the photography contest can be found on our website…

…and speaking of our website!  Have you checked out the new look?  Take a peak at https://monasheeartscouncil.com/
