Reflect and Celebrate 10 Years – NKLTourism AGM, Elections & Social

We ALL definitely have something to celebrate…10 years of bringing dining, shopping, recreation, attractions, events, arts, health & wellness, and accommodation together, and promote as one big awesome experience across the region!

The evening will include socializing, a guest speaker, food & beverages, AGM, and elections (details attached). If you are interested in a board position email your letter of interest before June 7th.

  • There are four elected positions available: two accommodation, one retail and one summer representative.
  • Two appointed positions will be announced: Kaslo / Area D, and Balfour / Area E and F.

WHAT IS EXPECTED AS A BOARD MEMBER? Meetings are set approximately every six weeks (July 17, September 11, October 23, December 4, January 15, Feb 26, April 8, May 20, June 24 – AGM). It is a governing board but members have responsibilities to connect with their sector and report back to the board, and sit on at least one of the committees: Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Governance. Following the 2019 AGM the board will meet briefly to determine board positions and committees. Please consider what committee(s) you would like to sit on.

If you are unable to attend the June 20th event in Nelson, there will also be a gathering and presentation in Kaslo, June 12th, 6pm at the Langham Cultural Centre.
