THAT’S A WRAP!
BCTC’s 43rd annual showcase and booking conference for performing arts touring and presenting has wrapped! Thank you to everyone who helped to support the conference. Special thanks to our funding partners, the Province of BC, the BC Arts Council and Canadian Heritage. Thanks also to our amazing sponsors and our auction donors. We are grateful for your continued support.

PLANNING AHEAD?
Mark those calendars! Pacific Contact 2020 takes place on Thursday, April 2 to Sunday April 5, 2020.  Showcase Applications will be available on BCTC’s website on June 1, 2019. We hope to see you there!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2019 BC TOURING COUNCIL AWARD WINNERS!

The BC Touring Council Annual Awards were presented at Pacific Contact on April 6, 2019, at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Hotel in Burnaby, BC. The 2019 Touring Award of Excellence was presented to Roger Sparkes (posthumously). Roger was former manager of the theatre at the Cowichan Community Centre and active on many boards including The BC Touring Council, CAPACOA, and The Duncan Fringe Festival Society. He diligently worked to promote the arts as a patron and as a presenter. This award was presented by colleagues Peter Feldman, Tom Walker and Roger’s daughter, Camille Barrat was on hand to accept the award.

The 2019 Touring Artist of the Year was awarded to Mike Delamont.The 2019 Presenter of the Year was awarded to Stephanie Fischer of the Capitol Theatre in Nelson, BC. The 2019 Agent or Manager of the Year was awarded to Marco Fortier of Agence Station bleue.
