Pacific Contact 2019 Showcase Artists Announced
BCTC is pleased to announce the list of showcase artists for Pacific Contact 2019. Thank you to all of those who applied. For a full list, visit our website.

Pacific Contact 2019 Online Registration begins Monday, November 19
Pacific Contact is BCTC’s annual trade show and booking conference for performing arts touring in BC. The conference includes showcases, a Contact Room (trade show), workshops and networking opportunities. A preliminary schedule is now available, as well as archived information from past conferences.

2018 BC Touring Council Award at Vancouver Fringe Festival
Congratulations to Awkward Hug who won the 2018 BC Touring Council Award at this year’s Vancouver Fringe Festival. The award is given to artists with the best potential for touring BC. They receive mentorship and a chance to showcase their work at Pacific Contact. Thank you to the artists, judges and to the Vancouver Fringe FestivalAwkward Hug was written/performed by Cory Thibert, directed by Linnea Gwiazda with dramaturge by TJ Dawe.

BCTC Board News
BCTC welcomes Teresa Nelson of Traverse Music Management who was appointed to the board at the September meeting to serve as the Agent/Manager/Consultant representative. Teresa replaces Kevin Bruce of KBAM! Kevin Bruce Artists Management until the AGM in 2019. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Kevin for his contributions and service to BCTC.

Congratulations to Mark Greenhalgh
Congratulations to Mark Greenhalgh on his new position as Project Manager for the Arts and Culture Centre at the District of Summerland. Mark will continue to work with BCTC as the Production Manager for Pacific Contact, as well as for our On the Road workshops.
