Vantage Point July Newsletter – Celebrating 75 years

2018 is Vantage Point’s 75th anniversary.

Founded as the Central Volunteer Bureau of Vancouver in 1943 (a year of local and global complexities), we were formed as part of the volunteer efforts of World War II to provide childcare for working women. From there, we grew into a traditional volunteer centre – matching passionate community members to not-for-profits.

In our path to 2018, we responded to a distinct shift in the sector – a call for more capacity building, skilled volunteerism, and professional development – and we became Vantage Point. Volunteerism continues to be a driving force of our mission.

To celebrate, we invite you to a 75th Anniversary Party to acknowledge both our work as well as the collective impact of BC’s not-for-profit sector.
