June Happenings!

Lots to share so we’ll keep it brief here. Tis the season for wildflowers, pow wows and rodeos and we couldn’t be more thrilled! With that being said, you’ll find us zigzagging across the Crown of the Continent over the next month of so capturing your stories. If you have a content page on our website and need some “fresh” photos it’s likely you’ll be hearing from us soon as we finalize our travel schedule.

Friendly reminder we’re still celebrating the 10 Year Anniversary of this unique transboundary community that you are part of! You make this region what it is and we would be honored to give folks a glimpse of a day in the life of you.

SPECIAL PROJECT

Exploring trails mostly free of snow is here and we’ve been working on an exciting trail project with Flathead Associated Chambers! This summer we will build out Trail Guides for the Flathead communities of Bigfork, Columbia Falls, Kalispell, Lakeside and Whitefish, with the help of our trail enthusiast Field Experts. Individual trail content pages will be created and Trail Guides will live under our Trip Plan page and when possible be featured as an embed widget on the respective Chamber of Commerce or Convention & Visitors Bureau website. This project will complement the work Flathead PATHS committee has been putting forth to create a website with real-time updates on trail conditions and closures. Both websites will link to each other once the PATHS Flathead trails website is finalized and we’ve finished building out Trip Plans for all above listed communities. SCROLL DOWN to view active Trail Guides!

QUICK FACTS

  • Goal is to provide a well-rounded Glacier Country experience and provide trails outside of Glacier National Park.
  • List at least Top 10 trails for each community. *Number may be smaller depending on communities position within Flathead Valley.
  • Only trails that can handle increased visitation, are in good condition and can be accessed within reason will be listed.
  • We would absolutely love your input! Is there a favorite trail we missed?
  • Need suggestions, photos and trail descriptions for Lakeside and Columbia Falls area trails. *We have a few already created for these, but interested in hearing your recommendations.
