FAREWELL BETTY!

We would like to say a heart-felt goodbye to our long-time employee Betty Senien for her hard work and dedication over the past 10+ years.  The Trail Arts Council will miss her dearly and wishes her and her husband all the best in their move to Vancouver Island.

Summertime means Music in the Park every Thursday night at Gyro Park at 7pm!  Music in the park Trail

Bring your lawn chair, a blanket, some food to munch on and a $2 donation and enjoy the sounds of live music filling the Columbia Valley.  Tomorrow night: Eleventh Hour will rock ‘n’ roll back the clock for you!  Next week we also have a special treat on TUESDAY: Kootenay Fiddle Camp Jam will be bringing you reels and jigs!  We have a stellar line up this summer with local favourites as well as some travelling groups.  We are excited to bring Vancouver’s own Harpdog Brown on August 3rd!  This harp wizard is the very definition of electric blues and will be playing rain or shine.  This show will take place at The Bailey Theatre in case of rain.

WHO IS
THE TRAIL & DISTRICT ARTS COUNCIL?

Te mandate of the Trail & District Arts Council (TDAC) is to act as a representative for arts, culture & heritage in the Greater Trail community. TDAC supports and encourages its affiliate groups in artistic and cultural activities through administrative, organizational and financial support wherever it is possible.
TDAC continues to raise awareness of the arts, and continues to offer our community the means to experience the diversity that artistic and cultural activities have to offer. TDAC partners with other community organizations in ways that will benefit arts, culture, and heritage.

TDAC and the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary run THE BAILEY THEATRE as partners.  TDAC runs 4 performance series throughout the year: Teck Family Series, E2 Series, Jazz at the Griff, and Music in the Park., as well as the very popular Sunday Cinemas at The Royal Theatre.
