Painting on the EDGE – Call to Artists

Painting on EdgeDear Artists,

Painting on the Edge is your invitation to push through your creative boundaries and break those artistic limits.

Now in it’s 15th year, this annual international, juried exhibition continues to encourage artists across the globe to test their practice and push their creative boundaries, while also challenging themselves and their audiences.

Supported by OPUS Framing and Art Supplies, the Grand First Place Prize for the exhibition is a cash prize of $2,000 CA.

Artists can submit artwork in any style, of any subject and in any FCA supported media. Successful entries are dynamic, thought-provoking and overall, edgy. You can view the successful entries from 2016 here.

Successful entries feature in a three week long exhibition at the Federation Gallery on Granville Island in Vancouver, Canada between July 18 – August 6, 2017. Successful artists also feature in a printed exhibition catalogue, featuring their head shot, biography and successful artwork.

So show us how you shake up your practice and get outside of your creative comfort zones. Submit today and you could win the $2,000 Grand First Place prize!
