Living with Stroke – Fridays, March 17 – May 5 – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
The program focus is on stroke survivors who have been home from the hospital for a few months and are struggling with daily issues. There is room for 12 participants and the program is offered free by the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Program Facilitator is Marg Dietrich.

Death Cafe – Wednesdays, March 29 / April 26 / May 31 – 7:00-9:00 pm
This is a facilitated process that uses a question to initiate conversation between people in small groups around issues related to death, dying and living fully.
Getting to Room Temperature – March 24, 8 pm at the Capitol Theatre
The play, about end-of-life issues in Canada and the right to die, is based on a true story and promises audiences laughter through tears. Getting to Room Temperature charts the beautiful life and poignant death of the playwright, Arthur Milner’s mother, while engaging audiences in a daring, personal, and great debate of our time.
There will be a talkback session following the performance with actor Robert Bockstael, Arthur Milner, Kim Bater from Kalein Centre and Jane DiGiacomo from the Nelson & District Hospice Society. Click here for poster
Intimacy Explored – Mondays, starts April 3rd, 6:30 – 9:00 pm
A group led by Psychotherapist and Workshop Leader Natasha Edney, LLB, Dip Psych. MTC
Do you long for deeper intimate connection? What does intimacy mean to you? What are the unconscious patterns that keep you in separation, avoiding the depth of emotional and physical connection that you long for with your lovers, friends, parents or children?
This series offers an opportunity to explore and heal, in a safe and gentle group environment, your own personal relationship to intimacy.
Join Natasha for a 6 week series on Monday evenings 6.30pm to 9pm, starting April 3rd.
