West Kootenay Rural Teacher Education Program and L V Rogers.

266 Baker St., Nelson
Admission: $10 –
This is a small fundraiser for the children of Selem Tekle who came here as a refugee
sponsored by the Nelson Refugee Coalition. Her children whom she has not seen in 7 years
are still in Africa waiting on paper work. They need support with basics and education.
Madelyn MacKay tells me:
“Betty and Wayne Hohn are going to Ethiopia to meet Selem’s children and bring them some things to help them as they wait for our government’s approval process.
We appreciate any contributions toward a laptop for them which will make available English lessons, and shoes. Betty’s a nurse who worked in Ethiopia in the 1970’s .”
Contributions for this purpose can be tax deductible if made to Nelson History Theatre which I can pass on as a donation from the performers. So if anyone wants to help out, please come to the reading (despite the snow!!) or get in touch with me at this email: email@example.com
